Olaf Kneer and Marianne Mueller (tutors & project directors)
are AA Graduates and have been teaching at the AA since 2007. Olaf previously taught at the UCL Bartlett and Marianne is a full tenured professor at Munster School of Architecture. Together they ran a design studio in the AA’s Intermediate and Diploma school and are currently directors of the Concrete Geometries Research Cluster (www.concrete-geometries.net). Their office Casper Mueller Kneer Architects is based in Londonand Berlin, focusing on spaces for the arts and culture (www.caspermuellerkneer.com).
Norbert Palz
Norbert Palz is professor for digital and experimental design at the UdK Berlin. He studied Architecture at the Technical University in Berlin and worked for UN Studio in Amsterdam and NOX Architects in Rotterdam. In 2003 he founded with Robert Banovic the architectural firm Targadesign. The company started with the production of visualisations for the danish artist Olafur Eliasson, but soon expanded into a broader field of activities on the verge between art and architecture.
The scope of works ranged from e.g. geometric studies for the BMW Art car, auditorium design and generation of CNC manufacturing data for the Serpentine pavillion 2007 (designed by Olafur Eliasson and Kjetil Thorsen). From 2005-2006 Targa was producing the organic shape modeling and production of related manufacturing data for Project “Grotto” by Thomas Demand. The layered cardboard model was exhibited in the summer of 2007 at Giorgio Cini Foundation, Island of San Giorgio Maggiore and sponsored by the fondazione Prada.

Sven Pfeiffer
is a Berlin-based Architect and head of the chair for Digital Design and Construction at the msa | münster school of architecture. He studied in Hamburg, Miami and at the Städelschule Frankfurt. In 2010 Sven founded sparc, a research and design studio combining experimental and computational design and fabrication strategies in projects of various scales, from product to urban design. Sven Pfeiffer has lectured and taught at several european Universities, such as the TU Berlin, UdK Berlin, KTH Stockholm and the Architectural Association, London. He is co-author of the publication “Wind and City – Climate as an Architectural Instrument”, published in May 2014 at DOM Publishers, Berlin.

Peter Karl Becher
Peter Karl Becher established Studio Becher in London in 2007 after having worked for Herzog & de Meuron in Basel, Beijing (The Bird’s Nest) and London. He received diplomas from the University of Applied Arts in Karlsruhe and the Städelschule in Frankfurt where he studied under Enric Miralles, Peter Cook, Mark Wigley and, during an exchange scholarship at SCI-Arc in Los Angeles, Joseph Giovannini. He has taught at London Metropolitan University, Kingston University and, as visiting critic, at NTNU Trondheim. At present he leads Diploma Unit 3 at the Architectural Association. www.studiobecher.com
Christoph Zeller
Christoph Zeller has been working for Herzog & de Meuron since 2005 and previously worked for SANAA, Tokyo and Jürgen Mayer H., Berlin. He lead the designs for The Tate Modern Project, London and the Serpentine Gallery Pavilion 2012, London. He studied architecture at the University of Arts Berlin. Christoph has been a regular visiting critic at the AA London and the University of Arts Berlin amongst others. Since 2012 he is working as Zeller & Moye in Mexico City. www.herzogdemeuron.com

Ian Maxwell
Ian [Max] Maxwell, is a London-based Architect and holds a Masters in Architecture and Urbanism from the Architectural Association. In 2006 Max co-founded the architectural and design agency supermanoeuvre (www.supermanoeuvre.com). The studio is dedicated to the development of expanded modes of practice, design methodologies and fabrication techniques through experimentation, teaching and design-based research. Supermanoeuvre has lectured and exhibited extensively in the USA, Europe, Asia, South America, and Australia. In 2007 Max was awarded the Australian Institute of Architects Young Architect Prize.
Florian Köhl
Florian Koehl is an architect based in Berlin. He is running the FAT KOEHL ARCHITECTS (www.fatkoehl.com), that focuses on the idea of the production of simultenaity through architecture. These approaches are either tested through processes of building or conceptual projects. Florian Koehl has worked previously at Studio Daniel Libeskind and was project architect for several projects. He researched and taught at the Technical University of Berlin, Departement of urban planning and at the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London.
Alexander Laing
Alex Laing obtained his RIBA Part 1 from the AA in 2009 before taking a photography trip across America and working in Colombia for Paisajes Emergentes. He has been involved in AA workshops in Hooke Park, Korea and Japan. He also works as a photography assistant to Goswin Schwendinger in London since 2008 and has travelled extensively.

Jens Casper
Jens was born in Cologne, Germany. Studies in architecture at the Technical University in Aachen; 1992-94 tutor at the Department of Planning Theory RWTH Aachen, teaching position at Berlin Technical University 2004-06. In 2003 founding of ‘Realarchitektur’, Berlin based architectural practice. In 2008 Jens quit Realarchitektur to start new collaborations: Büro Jens Casper, Berlin (www.jenscasper.de) and Casper Mueller Kneer Architects (www.caspermuellerkneer.com) in London and Berlin. His work reflects the tangible material organisation of space as well as the immaterial and negotiable realities shaping it.
Christopher Dell
Christopher studied philosophy at TU Darmstadt and Music and Composition at the Conservatory of Hilversum Rotterdam and Berklee School of music. He is founder of Improvisation-Studio at Akademie für Tonkunst Darmstadt, has worked on sound installations, exhibitions and performances and worked as curator. He has won a number of awards, has toured Canada, China, the USA, Japan, India, Africa and is considered one of Europe’s leading vibraphonists. He taught architecture theory at the University of Fine Arts Berlin and is currently visiting professor at the HafenCity University, Hamburg. www.christopher-dell.de
Stefano Rabolli Pansera
Stefano Rabolli Pansera is director of Rabolli Pansera Ltd. an architectural practice engaged with works in UK, Italy, Lebanon and Kazakistan. After graduateing from Architectural Association in 2005, he has worked in Herzog de Meuron from 2005 to 2007. He has been AA Unit Master in Intermediate Unit 5 from 2007-2011. He is the director of “Beyond Entropy, when Energy becomes Form“, an AA cluster of Research developed with the Biennale of Venice.
Sven Pfeiffer
Sven Pfeiffer holds a professional degree in Architecture from the University of Applied Sciences, Hamburg and a Postgraduate Diploma from Städelschule Frankfurt. Specializing in the development of bespoke design and fabrication strategies, Sven has worked on projects in Architecture, Art and digital fabrication and has taught at several educational institutions, such as the University of Stuttgart, the FH Münster and the AA in London. He is one of the founders of the independent research and education platform genericdesignlab.
